More About - LDC Writer's Notebook for Argumentation

Are you new to implementing the Literacy Design Collaborative (LDC)? Are you looking for mini-task ideas or student supports for implementation of your LDC module? This LDC Writer’s Notebook is designed to guide students through the process of an argumentative module. It follows the standard LDC sequence of skills and mini-tasks and incorporates easy-to-follow literacy best practices. Teachers can download this document, and customize it for use with their students and their content. This writer’s notebook is intended to scaffold planning and implementation of initial modules, not reduce or oversimplify LDC or turn it into a workbook. It is a beginning template that teachers can build upon as they gain more experience with implementing LDC.

In addition to the writer’s notebook, the following supporting resources are also included: powerpoint slides, a brief webinar recording, and a list of Pennsylvania LDC argumentative task examples.

Writer's Notebook: 22 pages
PowerPoint: 10 slides
Webinar: 00:03:34
Task Examples: 1 page
